Let this be my declaration: I cried out to the Lord
and He set me free from every anxiety.
May I forever praise the One
who delivered me from the terrors of the night,
the One who has made me bold and strong.
Let this be my song of praise: I sought the Lord
and He rescued me from my gloom.
May my prayer of gratitude sound for the One
who lifted me from the pit of despair,
the One who tells me to not be terrified nor dismayed.
Let this be my testimony: I prayed to the Lord
and He turned my sorrow into joy.
May my lips forevermore declare
my love for the One who set me free,
the One who promises to be with me wherever I go!
