Psalm 119:9-16 Precious Treasure

9 How can I stay pure and live a clean life? By obeying Your Word; keeping watch over my life so that it conforms to Your precepts; and walk in the truth of Your Word.10 I am single-minded in my pursuit of You Abba Father. With all my heart I inquire and long for You. Don’t allow me to stray from Your directions through ignorance or wilful disobedience. 11 Lord how I treasure Your Word, enable me to understand it; meditate upon it; store it in my heart; and memorise it. Your promises and prophecies are great treasures, help me to cling to them so that I never sin against You.12 Oh my Wonderful God, You are so worthy of all the praise and adoration I can bestow upon You! Train me to walk Your way of wise living so that my life brings You glory and honour. 13 Lord empower me to transfer to my lips Your counsel, statutes and laws. Help me to recite words of truth and life. 14 I know that there is much more delight and joy in following Your ways than chasing after the riches of this world. 15 So I thoughtfully ponder on Your ways and set my heart upon Your precepts. 16 I will delight in all You tell me of life; I will cherish Your decrees; and take joy in Your statues. I cannot possibly forget Your Word for it such a precious treasure that brings me life!

My paraphrased version is from the New Living Translation; the Amplified; the Message; and The Passion Translation.

Praying Psalm 119: 9-16 Precious Treasure

Lord enable me to live a life that is pure and honours You. May I walk in obedience to the truth of Your precious words of life. My heart inquires and longs for You, I am single-minded in my pursuit of You Lord. Lead me along the path You direct me to walk, please don’t allow me to stray by ignorance or wilful disobedience. Empower me to store Your Word in my heart for it is such a precious treasure! Teach me how to understand it; meditate upon it; store it in my heart; and memorise it. Lord, I cling to Your promises and prophecies so that I will never commit a sin against You. Oh my Wonderful God, teach me to praise You above all other things in my life, for You are so worthy of all my adoration and devotion. May I transfer Your counsel, precepts and teaching to my lips so that words of truth and life spring forth. Lord, I know that I will find more delight and joy following after You than chasing all the wealth of this world. So help me to meditate upon Your precepts and set my heart and mind upon Your path of life, I desire to live a life that brings You glory and honour. Abba Father, what a delight Your laws are to my life, may I never forget a word and always walk in Your ways.

Prophetic Picture

I’m currently reading Ryan LeStrange’s new book ‘Supernatural Access’ and it’s amazing! It has so much wisdom oozing from the pages and I love how he finishes each chapter with a prayer, prophecy and activation. In chapter 3 titled ‘Steward the Voice’ he discusses prophetic images and the activation at the end of the chapter is to find a prophetic picture. As soon as I started reading I was reminded of a dream that I’d had recently, I was walking across ice when I fell through. As I sunk down I didn’t feel panic at all. I declared ‘I dive deep into You Lord. I immerse myself in You.’. In my dream the sensations were so strong, I could feel the cold ice but when I fell through the water was warm and I could feel my body sinking. I remember waking and almost expecting to be in water because it felt that real.

I wanted to find a picture that conveyed that sinking feeling and after a search on Pixabay I found it, posted by the user: Free-Photos. I also wanted to create a prayer using verses:

Lord I want to completely immerse myself in You!

How I cry out to know the vast rich depths

of the wisdom and knowledge of God!

(Inspired by Romans 11:33)

I pray that the God of my precious Saviour,

my Lord Jesus Christ; the Father of glory,

grants me a spirit of wisdom and of revelation.

That I may gain a deeply personal

and intimate insight into the true knowledge of God

as I come to know the Father through the Son.

(Inspired by Ephesians 1:17)

Having this picture and words as a visual reminder has really helped me to focus my days upon delving deep into God.

If you’ve had a recent vivid dream why not try find your own picture and words to express it? If you haven’t started a dream diary then please do, I’m so grateful that I wrote down all the details of mine while they were still vivid and fresh.

Many blessings, Keona
